Parking Counting system:

Parking Counting system, as the name suggests is an automated system that counts the number of spaces occupied by parked cars and the number of free spaces, where one can park their car. As there are plenty of cars on the road, so the spaces for parking cars are getting less. So, there’s always a problem with car parking, as the space is limited and cars number is increasing rapidly. Parking counting system is an automated system that helps to park more cars in a relatively less space, hence helping with safety and profitability.   

It is a sub-system that comes under a wider system called Parking Management System. The main purpose of Parking Counting System is, it counts the number of cars that are parked in the parking lots, and tells about the number of spaces that are free to be parked. Based on the counts, it displays Full, Open, number of spaces left in each level of multi-level parking.

As a result of this, it becomes easier to properly control and manage the car parking in big parking lots, especially in multi-level parking, as it is very hard to keep a count of number of free spaces.

Parking Management System:

Parking Management System is a complete system that is related to managing of vehicle parking. As there is a big rise in the number of vehicles, and the figure are still rising up. So there is a scarcity of spaces to park as they are very much limited. In order to help with this problem the Parking Management System is developed.

Well, Parking Management System is an automated system that helps in proper management of car parking. So that an effective and efficient parking solution can be generated. Parking is a big problem of nowadays, particularly in metro cities. People don’t know the number of free spaces and they allow too many cars in their parking lot than the space they actually have. Because of the Parking Management system, now it is possible to park more cars in fewer spaces; and also to achieve more security and safety.

This wider management system consists of multiple sub-systems, to name some includes: Parking counting system, Parking guidance system, Gate barriers, Ticket validating machines, etc. All these together work and help in achieving a proper parking management system.

Boom Barrier:

Boom Barrier is barrier that is used to block vehicles passing from both sides. It is basically a pole or bar that is usually found in car parking, railway crossing, drawbridges etc. The basic purpose of the Boom Barrier is to stop vehicles entering or going cross through a point. In parking facilities, it can be used to restrict the excess of cars and traffics. 

The Boom barriers are being used from a long time in the past, and now there have been a lot of improvement in them. Earlier they were manually operated, and now they are automated. They are basically long poles or bars that block the road, and when once permitted to pass, they are raised up in a vertical arc, to certain height.  

They are a great help for the parking management system, as they stop cars for managing the traffic properly, and avoiding excess cars in the parking lot. They can also be used to stop the normal cars and allow the VIP cars pass through first. They are also a good help for maintaining security in the Parking Facilities, as they can be used to stop the suspected cars and inspect them.
